Alert Resolution Feature

Feature Overview

The Alert Resolution feature helps to create accountability within the system, and more importantly it allows officers on scene to more clearly identify what items were discovered during secondary screening. The Alert Resolution feature allows users to easily input data directly into the system by using a simple drop-down pick list. This allows organizations to generate metrics on items being found at their screening locations.  Once this data is submitted to the system, an administrator can see customized reports in the Athena Control Center, which can then be exported as a PDF document.

Feature Operation

Once the Red “No Go” lights are visible as the primary indication of an Alert, the Alert is received in the Athena Control Center or on the Operator Tablet, an individual may be screened a second time, according to the Standard Operating Procedures of the organization.  At the end of that secondary screening the Security Officer has the option to select “Secondary Screening Needed”.  Once this button is clicked, the Officer will have two options, “False” or “Confirm”.

Each selection will display a pre-populated drop-down pick list which can be customer chosen.

Confirm default options:

  • Gun

  • Knife

  • Vape

  • Other

False default options:

  • Wheelchair

  • Walker

  • Glasses Case

  • Laptop

  • Items Combined

  • Other

Once the Security Officer has made their selection it will be recorded within the Athena Control Center.

Note: The system can be configured to autolaunch the Incident Response Report (IRR) feature for all “Confirmed” items.
