Requirements For Milestone XProtect Event Server

Modified on Thu, Mar 30, 2023 at 1:28 PM

Our integration module works with the Milestone Analytics EventXProtect® Essential+

Step 1

Milestone XProtect Event Server component should be installed!

2. Check that Milestone XProtect Event Server up and running.

3. In a XProtect Management Client check that Analytics Events Enabled and Athena Control Center server address allowed (173 dot 255 dot 201 dot 6), to do that open Tools -> Options -> Analytics Events

4. Configuration

Analytics Events

Open Rules and Events -> Analytics Events and create necessary events. Name field should match one of event that Athena Control Center sends:

  • hightemp               - High temperature
  •   objectdetected      -weapon confirmed  and found; please watch for if need assistance

5. Alarm Definition

Open Alarms -> Alarm Definitions, right-click to Add new...

Fill out the fields for your needs.

Triggering event the field should be Analytics Events with one of Analytics Events created in the previous step.

Sources the field should point to a camera that triggers an event, and the camera address should match the Athena Control Center camera configuration.

6. Create a Weapons Detection Support ticket here

Add to ticket title "Milestone Integration Support Needed."

Add each location name of the Weapons Detection System deployment in the ticket and the camera's IP address.  If you do not have a camera in the area, please add a camera in Milestone with a bogus IP address for alert-only notifications inside Milestone.  The Event Manager uses IP address of the camera in milestone to make awhere of the location of the alert.
