Athena Weapon Detection System - Release Notes v3.4

Introduction 

This release note outlines the new features and bug fixes included in the latest version of Athena’s Weapon Detection System (v3.4). We've focused on improving functionality and addressing critical issues to enhance the user experience. 

Core Features and Enhancements 

● Improved Facial Recognition: Facial recognition has been vastly improved for the Security Guard Check-In, Secondary Rescan, Person of Interest, and VIP features.

● Apollo Facial Recognition: Added facial recognition capabilities to the Apollo weapon detection system. This is off by default, but can be turned on via the settings. 

● Voluntary Alerts: Voluntary alerts now take the photo from the Controller tablet, and can also be used with the Apollo system. 

● IRR Camera: IRR report will now be able to use the front or rear camera of the iPad for taking images of the items. 

● Improved Garrett Integration: Garrett system is now more than a relay integration. Pole detection, wrong way, voluntary, clear, and face recognition are now used with Garrett Systems. 

● Apollo Camera Alerts: Photo of person walking through the system is now shown side by side with the avatar. 

● Apollo 650 Integration: Apollo 650 is now integrated. The Apollo 650 specializes in cell phone, and smart device detection. 

● Wrong Direction Alert Toggle: Wrong Direction alerts are able to be turned off from the settings. 

● X-ray User Presence: Ensure guards are at their post while the x-ray machine is on. If a guard leaves their post for any reason, the x-ray will automatically shut off ensuring there is no misuse of the system. 

● Custom Forms: Creates a shortcut to custom web links for easy access within the application. 

● iPad health: The system checks generated by the backend to ensure the devices are online and healthy now provide Support with more data. This data includes battery percentage, percentage of storage used, and device temperature. This will allow our support team to find and fix issues before they become a problem to the user.
