This major release focuses on expanding device compatibility for Weapons Detection Systems (WDS), introducing sophisticated X-Ray analytics, hardening security around support access, and laying the essential groundwork for Evidence Management and advanced Vendor/Visitor Management.

✨ New Features & Product Integrations

Weapons Detection System (WDS)

  • Expanded Station Compatibility:

  • Added support for the Apollo 500 Weapons Detection System unit, introducing the Apollo station type to the Athena Control Center.

  • Added support for the Garrett Paragon™ Walk-Through Metal Detector, introducing the Garrett station type.

Added POI report inside alerts screen

  • WDS Test Report: The dedicated WDS Test Report now includes comprehensive support and specific data fields for both the Apollo WDS and Garrett WDS systems.

 Video Management System (VMS)

  • Hanwha Vision WAVE VMS Support: Added integration and support for the Hanwha Vision VMS, enabling seamless video correlation within the Athena platform.

 IT/Device Management

  • JAMF MDM Support: Integrated support for JAMF MDM (Mobile Device Management) into the Athena Control Center for streamlined device management.

 Enhanced Alerting & System Accountability

A comprehensive suite of new alert types has been added to improve operational awareness and accountability:

New Alert Type

Description

Apollo settings

A compliance feature that captures an image of any person accessing the settings console on the Apollo 500 unit.

Apollo -unplugged

Detects and alerts when power is disconnected from the Apollo unit.

Clear X-Ray

Alerts on clear detections coming from the AI X-Ray platform, flagging them for human review before final Generative AI confirmation.

Glasses Alert

Alert sent directly from the Athena Control Center platform to connected AR Glasses.

License expired

Alerts when the Athena Control Center license has expired, halting the acceptance of new alerts.

Object-detected-X-ray

An alert from the AI X-Ray that a prohibited item has been detected and marked as such.

Power restored alert

Alerts when an iPad regains power after being unplugged, ensuring accountability (who unplugged and replugged the unit).

X-ray staff image

Captures an image of the user logging in to the X-Ray console for full operator accountability.

Voluntary alert

Logs instances where a visitor voluntarily gives up an item before going through the WDS. An image is taken, and the Prohibited Items log is activated for item description and comments.

Turn around alert

Logs instances where a visitor states they have a weapon but takes it back to their car without entering the WDS. This accounts for the deterrent factor without generating a prohibited item report.

X-Ray & Advanced Threat Detection Updates

  • "Electron" X-Ray Support: The new X-Ray platform (codenamed "Electron") is now supported. This platform utilizes advanced technology to differentiate between material compositions (e.g., water vs. gasoline) for improved detection of explosive materials and drugs.

  • X-Ray Report: A new dedicated report, similar to the WDS report, includes graphs and detailed information about items detected and total passes.

  • X-Ray Monitor Platform Called (second look): A centralized platform created to monitor and review Clear X-Ray alerts, allowing a many-to-one approach to optimize staffing (e.g., 4 staff monitoring 10 locations).

  • Drone AI: A new drone AI model has been created, with server-side support for model upload and download capabilities.

Security & Support Enhancements

  • Support Dashboard Creation: A new dedicated Support Dashboard has been created for quicker access to essential client information.

  • Automated Ticket Generation: The system now auto-generates tickets upon support staff access, securely providing the client's account, location, station, and contact information without granting full platform access.

  • Enhanced Security Controls: Support staff now have a more restrictive, lock-down view, only able to see data after a ticket has been generated, greatly enhancing control over customer information access.

Reporting and Workflow

  • Report Settings: A new feature allowing users to create and save default report presets. Users can now quickly run complex, customized reports monthly, weekly, or daily with a single click.

Property & Evidence Management

  • Prohibited Items Printer Support: Added initial support for the iPad to store and format data for printing out confiscated item receipts, forming the foundational layer for Property Management.

  • Database Groundwork: Added necessary database fields for Property Management and Evidence Management, including fields to connect to external automatic evidence locker systems.

  • Secure Access: Implemented Facial or Badge Login requirements for accessing the Evidence Management System.

  • CRM Integration: New CRM fields have been created to allow detectives or system operators to securely check-in and check-out evidence from the locker system.

Vendor Management System Updates

  • Lockdown Control: Added support for Vendor Management locking, which prevents vendors from receiving a badge unless they are an approved vendor with all required and up-to-date business licenses in the platform.

  • Flexible Document Types: The document approval process is now fully flexible. Administrators can specify which document types are required and which are optional (expanding beyond the previous driver's license, business license, and COVID-19 options).

  • Document Expiration Enforcement: Added an expiration date for each required document. If a document expires, the vendor will receive a 30-day grace period before being automatically locked out of the system.

Visitor Management System (VMS) Updates

  • Color Badge Printer Support: Added native support for the Epson Badge 4000 and Epson 6000 color printers for VMS color badge printing.

  • Server-Side Configuration: Added the ability to centrally change server-side settings for:

  • VMS Peer-to-peer protocol.

  • Badge color settings and station color settings.

  • Uploading default logo image and color schemes.

  • Phone number support (On/Off toggle).

  • Faster Workflow Option: Added a setting to enable a faster VMS workflow: Scan DL, Take Picture, Print Badge.

  • Predator Search: Added a dedicated option for looking up and screening against child predator databases (without performing a general arrest history search).

  • Added support for Person of Interest or BOLO search in hospitals within access control station (manager station)

AR Glasses Integration

  • Glasses Alert: Alerts are now sent directly from the Athena Control Center platform to connected AR Glasses.

  • Teldio API Integration: Completed the integration with Teldio’s API, allowing AR Glasses to replace traditional pagers and walkie-talkies for covert communication.

Bug Fixes

  • IRR Reports:

    • Users would receive email for mail for every IRR report as soon as they’re submitted. The email have the report as an attachment, and the attached photo

    • Fix on IRR Reports on fetching old form data with new additional logic.

    • Fix on opening URL link for IRR Report from Email.

    • Fix issue on showing Alert image on IRR Report.

  • Check-In Report:

    • Fix on check-in alerts from older versions of WDS app.

  • VMS Details Report with CRM :

    • Now each name on the VMS Details Report is clickable and linked to the corresponding CRM Detail page.

  • Object Scans Report:

    • Several small fixes related to Object Scans report on confirmed x-ray alerts, object types count.
