The Athena Smart Threat Detection System App is the primary method for delivering alerts. You can opt-into push notifications in the app, and reference past alerts there. 


To install the Android app: 

  1.  Go to your Android home screen and find the Play Store icon
  2. Press the Play Store icon to open the application
  3. Go to the Search bar
  4. Type “Athena Temperature Alerts” in the Search bar

  5. Search results displayed will include “Temperature Alerts for Fevers”
  6. Press the search result to move to the next menu
  7. The Athena app will display
  8. Download the app by pressing the “install” button

  9. The Athena Temperature app will download to your Android
  10. When the download is complete, open the app by tapping the “Open” button

  11. Upon opening the app, you will be prompted to log in

    You will use the ID and password that has been provided by your organization. Your ID is typically your work email

  12. Enter your ID (NOTE: your username is NOT your email address) and password, then tap “Login”

  13. The first time that you log in to the app, it takes you to the Notifications page.  

  14. The primary function of this app is to provide timely alerts when a high temperature is detected.  These alerts are sent via “Notifications”

Filtering alerts

  1. From the Notifications screen, locate the “Filter” icon at the top of the screen.  

  2. Press the “Filter” icon for the Filter Menu. Here you can select the alerts you wish to receive.

  3. You can even select a date range for the alerts reporting

    1. Tap on the “From” and “To” Lines to set a
        date range

    2. The alerts you requested will now populate the screen.

Logging out

  1. From the Notifications screen, locate the  “Log Out” icon in the upper right corner. 
  2. Press the “Log Out” icon.
  3. You are now logged out

If you have been provided with access to this app, it is possible that you will be asked to use the information provided by this system to inform critical and urgent response situations with life saving implications.


All actions taken by operators using this application should be completed in accordance with your organization’s event response procedures and under the immediate direction of the established command structure.
